Last Friday, the 22nd of May 2026, was a very special occasion for the entire O’Connell School community as we came together to celebrate achievement, resilience, and the enduring connection between past and present students.
It was a privilege to honour Professor Peter Gallagher as our 2026 Past Pupil of the Year. Peter’s journey from O’Connell School to working with NASA, the European Space Agency, and leading international research institutions is a remarkable example of what belief, opportunity, and dedication can achieve.
We were also proud to recognise our student award recipients, Thomas and Aurelion. Their achievements remind us that success is often built quietly through effort, resilience, and support from those around us.
A sincere thank you to the Past Pupils Union and all involved in organising such a meaningful evening.
