There was great excitement in O'Connell Secondary School this week as 5th Year student Daniel Aibuedefe achieved fantastic success at the Leinster Schools Athletics Final.
Daniel delivered an outstanding performance in the Senior Boys Javelin competition, securing an impressive second-place finish and earning qualification for the upcoming All-Ireland Schools Athletics Championships, which will take place in two weeks’ time.
This is a tremendous achievement for Daniel and a proud moment for the entire school community. His dedication, determination, and hard work have been rewarded at the highest provincial level, and everyone in the school is looking forward to supporting him as he prepares for the All-Ireland event.
A special word of congratulations must also go to coaches Mrs Lawlor and Mr O’Connell for their continued encouragement, commitment, and support of athletics in the school. Their guidance has played an important role in helping Daniel reach this milestone.
